“Kill your darlings.” (Thursday Random)
Top three fears, in no particular order:
1. Being convicted of a crime I didn’t commit
2. Being buried alive (it has not been a good week for me, current events-wise)
3. The apocalypse and the breakdown of institutional society
No really. These are my top three.
Haney says: “Kate, these are all Catholic school fears.”
Tell me what you’re afraid of.

Being convicted of something I didn’t do is totally one of my fears! You can never see it coming and no one ever believes you!

Living in the middle of a country, such that in the event of an emergency, I would not be able to swim away. (No, seriously. The concept freaks me out. ‘Cause I could totally just jump into the harbor and swim to England in the even of, I don’t know, a zombie attack? Nuclear holocaust?)

Ha! Isn’t it strange how everyone has different fears they think about?
1. Being caught in a tidal wave (extremely unlikely).
2. Being caught in a burning building (slightly more likely, still not worth worrying about).
3. Actually, those are the main two. Odd that earthquakes don’t make the list, seeing as I live on a faultline. Hmmmm….

1. being alone, in the dark, in a forest. or a field. or an abandoned house.
2. being alone, in the dark, in the ocean.
3. the middle of the ocean in general, sans cruise ship.

also i love that you are afraid of being convicted of a crime you didn’t commit.
what about the one about your being afraid that people wouldn’t know if you were a boy or a girl? Or does that no longer scare you? SOCIAL CUES.

The undertow. I used to think it would randomly suck you under with no warning… I kind of still think that (a little bit).
Also, the dark. Also, zombies. Also, never figuring out what I really want to achieve in my life. Also, drowning.
I could go on and on. I’m not the most logical person I know… oh well.
