Case of the Mondays
Am the slightest bit washed out today, almost certainly the result of the interminable rain that’s been soaking the Commonwealth the last few days. All I want to do is sleep all the time. Still, the weekend was a sweet little whirlwind of brunches and coffees and white trash cheese dip at Bukowski’s with the perpetually delightful book club girls. Also I made some banana bread, the most excellent soup I have ever tasted (big reveal tomorrow), and wrote a feisty letter of complaint to a Catholic priest in Boulder, Colorado (I’m engaging with my faith! That’s…good, right?). Plus Jennie sent me this awesome article today, which you should all check out while I go take a nap.

Well…shit.
Now I have to start raising chickens.
After that, it will inevitably be pigs…. and then butchering will be a complete necessity, which is great, but so will slaughtering, which I hadn’t planned on….
This article from Jennie has seriously thrown me for a loop. Enter: frustration. Current land ownership limited to an outdoor windowbox…
Will keep you updated.

I enjoy your blog but I’m wondering about this white trash stuff. No, I don’t mean the cheese.

Oh, the Mondays. Such a pain sometimes…
Looking forward to hearing about the best soup ever! I love me some soup.
